Business Policies and Procedures

  1. Business Policy:

In order to help promote the safety and integrity of our products, VTI products will be sold only through Authorized Distributors for sale only to licensed Eye Care Professionals that provide direct patient care to those patients for whom the products are ordered.

  1. How to Order

To order VTI products, Eye Care Professionals must be an authorized VTI account and have a current and valid account number with VTI’s Authorized Distributor(s).

VTI currently uses ABB OPTICAL GROUP (ABB) and Wisconsin Vision Associates (WVA) as Authorized Distributors.

To order through ABB:

If the practice does not already have an account with ABB, they will need to complete a credit application, available online at https://www.abboptical.com/join-abb. Accounts may fax the completed application to 954-752-6430 or email directly to creditapp@abboptical.com.   Most accounts may be set-up within 2 business days.

Once the account has been set up, the practice may use any of the following methods of ordering:

  1. Order online. Click: abboptical.com.
  2. Order by phone by speaking directly to one of ABB’s Customer Service representatives at (800) 852-8089, Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 9:00 pm Eastern.
  3. Order by fax at (800) 851-2470 (Fax orders will be entered the day after the order has been received).

Generally, for any orders placed by 5:00 pm eastern, they will be shipped the same day.

To order through WVA:

If the practice does not already have an account with WVA, they will need to complete a credit application, available online at https://www.wisvis.com/pdf_forms/member/credit-app.pdf.  Accounts may fax the completed application to 800-294-3270 or email directly to sales.support@wisvis.com.   Most accounts may be set-up within 2 business days.

Once the account has been set up, the practice may use any of the following methods of ordering:

  1. Order online. Click wisvis.com, then select the orders tab to log-in.
  2. Order by phone by speaking directly to one of WVA’s Customer Service representatives at 800-747-9000 (Monday-Friday 9:00AM- 4:00PM Central; phones stay on until 5:00PM Central for accounts located in Mountain and Pacific time zones).
  3. Order by fax at 800-298-2329.
  4. Order through online ordering portals. WVA accepts electronic ordering through some of the most popular electronic ordering sites like CLX, Crystal, VisionWeb, My Vision Express, Rev360 Smart Flow.

Orders placed by 4:00 pm central will be shipped the same day.

  1. Shipping Charges – Revenue Lenses

Shipping charges shall mirror our Authorized Distributor(s) current shipping policies.

The Authorized Distributor(s) may waive a shipping fee if the revenue order meets a specified threshold.

  1. Diagnostic Lenses

Diagnostic lenses are only intended for fitting of patients. Eye Care Professionals may not: a) sell diagnostic lenses, b) substitute diagnostic lenses for revenue lenses, or c) give diagnostic lenses away at no charge as product or practice promotions. VTI reserves the right to discontinue providing diagnostic lenses at any time.

Diagnostic lenses may be ordered from VTI’s Authorized Distributor(s) at no charge.  Shipping charges shall mirror our Authorized Distributor(s) current shipping policies. When diagnostic lenses are ordered separately from revenue lens orders or if the practice does not meet the shipping threshold of revenue product, then the practice may be charged a shipping fee per order.

  1. Returns and Exchange Policy

Only VTI product purchased directly from VTI through its Authorized Distributor(s) may be returned or exchanged through the Authorized Distributor(s) under their specified returns policies.

Returned products should be sent by a prepaid, traceable method, to avoid problems caused by non-receipt of goods.

Returns must be accompanied by the Authorized Distributors’ contact lens return form and is required to be completed for all VTI product returns.  Note: there may be a restocking fee on returned product.

Accounts returning products in quantities in excess of quantities purchased may have their return privileges revoked.

  1. Billing

All orders for VTI products are to be placed directly through Authorized Distributor(s).

Authorized Distributor(s) will invoice the VTI accounts at the prices in effect at the time of the order placement.

Invoicing, billing statements, shipping, and credit policies are as determined by Authorized Distributor(s).

  1. Defective Lenses and Adverse Effect Reporting

Any product associated with a complaint, including adverse events, must be returned to comply with regulatory requirements.

If a patient experiences any product defect or adverse effect associated with the use of any VTI contact lens product, please immediately notify the VTI Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Sally Dillehay, by telephone at 770-596-5417 or by email at sdillehay@vtivision.com.

  1. Contact Lens Consultation

VTI’s Authorized Distributor(s) will provide support through their Customer Service Representative team.
