Recruitment Fraud

Notice – Recruitment Fraud

Recruitment fraud involves a fictitious offer of employment. The fraud is intended to have you provide your personal information, banking information, or get a payment from you.

Recently, we have been contacted by several people who have received job offers from persons alleging to work for Visioneering Technologies or VTI Technologies. The position is a remote role for which the company requests that the new employee purchase the equipment needed to perform remote work. After a videoconference interview, the “hiring manager” sends an offer letter and requests that the new employee provide their banking information so that they can reimburse the employee for the equipment purchase. They also request other personal information, including completing a form that includes the social security number.

These job offers are fraudulent. Visioneering Technologies will not solicit employment by email. When we post a new employment opportunity, we post the position on a nationally known employment website such as Indeed. The applicant will apply for the position through the “Apply now” or similar link on the website.

If you receive an offer of employment from someone claiming to represent Visioneering Technologies or VTI Technologies, please email us at info@vtivision.com to confirm the legitimacy of the offer.

Please do not:

  • Provide your personal or banking information by email,
  • Pay an application or similar fee,
  • Respond to an unsolicited email regarding an employment opportunity,
  • Send any money, or
  • Purchase equipment with the promise of reimbursement.
