Ray tracing modeling was done to simulate what happens to light as it comes into the eye through various contact lenses designs.
These videos represent ray tracing modeling done by Jim Schwiegerling, former head of optics at University of Arizona, Phoenix. The defocused rays resulting from different lens designs are considered a foe for visual comfort and visual quality, but a great friend for progressing myopes and presbyopes. However, how it is delivered can significantly impact the visual experience.
